HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Elmo was feeling a little blue this morning, so Alegria gave him some medicine to make him feel all better:

Once Elmo was taken care of, we headed off with Grandma and Grandpa to go buy a swing set! Grandma and Grandpa said that they'd gotten trampolines for all of the other grandkids, but since Alegria's still a little too young for that, they decided to get her a swing set and because there's no park nearby, this will be great! YAY!!!

When we got home, we had a quick lunch, I put Alegria to bed, and while Grandma went to go get a toddler swing, Grandpa and I worked on putting the swing set together while Isis watched. Isn't Isis a good dog? The back door was open and she didn't even want to step foot inside! That's the kind of dog I like...the kind that stays outdoors and doesn't get our house all full of dog hair! :)

Grandma came back with a cute pink toddler swing for Alegria and here Grandpa's installing it:

The swing set was almost ready to be played on when Alegria woke up, but first, we headed over to the library for the St. Patrick's Day party! Unfortunately, since Alegria had had a late nap and had woken up later than usual, we got there just as the parade was happening...and that was the end of the party. Luckily, since we know the Children's Specialist (Abilehi!), we got to hang out in the conference room and make crafts and eat snacks while Abilehi and her assistant, Melissa, cleaned up.

Back home, the swing set was a BLAST!!!

Getting a little adventurous, Alegria tried playing on the other components of the swing set:

Here she decided on playing on a component that DOESN'T move! :)

Grandma and Grandpa were super cool to help give our lawn a little TLC:

Alegria wanted Big Bear to share in her fun:

Daddy got home super exhausted since he'd been out in the field since yesterday, but that didn't stop him from hanging out with us and playing with Alegria on her new swing set!

Grandpa had a great idea and put chicken wire over the new soil he'd put down for our trees. Hopefully this will keep Isis from digging our poor little trees up!

Finally it was time to come inside and have dinner. Then we just relaxed the rest of the night. Here's Alegria sporting her crafty new hat and necklace for Daddy to see what she did at the library!

Alegria took her ponytail out of her hair and was left with a little bit of hair sticking up!

What a fun day! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa, for the awesome swing set!!! :)
