Easter Egg Hunt!

Today was the day of my first primary activity as Primary President! Needless to say, I was a little nervous of what the turnout would be and if the children would enjoy themselves.

I'm happy to say that we had a good number in attendance! There were not only lots of children there today, but there were also parents as well as teachers! I was so happy!!!

The activity started off with a short lesson on Easter. I told the Easter Story and then I had the teachers each give a short explanation of some of the symbols of Easter. After that, we had a coloring activity and then we did the chicken dance and the bunny hop! That worked up an appetite and so then we had lunch.

After lunch, all of the adults helped clean up and finally, it was time for our Easter egg hunt!

On your mark...get set...GO!

We had set up a small area for the younger children to search for eggs and then a larger area for the older kids.

After all the eggs were found, we herded everyone inside. On the way inside, Alegria found an unsuspecting bystander and tried to steal eggs from her basket! Luckily we caught her before she did the deed!

Alegria: "Oh well...it was worth a shot! You never know ifyou don't try!" ;)

Inside, we let the kids eat their Easter candy and/or color if they wanted to:

In the end, everything turned out well. I was glad it did. Phew! :) Some of the kids even told me that it was the funnest activity they'd ever been to! Yay! :)

Back home, Alegria took a nap and when she woke up, we played outside.

Then we accompanied Daddy to go doctor Cyrus.

Alegria and I waited near Cyrus's trailer for Daddy to go get him. When he approached us with Cyrus, Alegria was very happy:

Alegria signing "horse:"

Alegria signing "horse" again:

My! What big eyes you have!

Poor Cyrus! I sure hope his hooves heal up soon!

Can you guess whose shadow this is?

Alegria signing "horse" yet again! She sure loves horses!

On our way back from seeing Cyrus, we stopped by the mailbox and Alegria had gotten an Easter package from Grandma and Grandpa Marlow! Inside was a cute little Easter purse and chocolate! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!

Mmm! Yummy!

And messy, too!

At the end of the night, Daddy put another coat of dark varnish on a frame he made for his painting:

And that was our day!

Good night!:)
